How-To Control Infrared Light for LIFX Plus Lights

With LIFX Plus bulbs, you get the added benefit of infrared light. One thing most people have noticed is that the infrared comes on automatically once the LED light has been dimmed to a certain level. At night that is fine if you have security cameras that utilize infrared light to see, but what if you don’t have cameras or it’s during the day. Good news you can change the settings for the infrared light from within the LIFX application. Follow these step by step instructions on how to reduce the infrared light to 50% or even turn it off completely.

Step 1 – Open your LIFX Application

That is it you now know how to reduce the brightness of or eliminate the use of infrared light for your LIFX Plus bulbs. You will have to repeat this step for each LIFX Plus bulb that you wish to make the change. Unfortunately, at this point, there is no global control for grouped or multiple lights.
