Hurray! Today has been a great day. I got notification that I will be one of the lucky few to try the Mango Mirror first.
What is the Mango Mirror? Well, thats a great question. To find out more I contacted Dave Dubier, the Founder and CEO of the company responsible for this very futuristic tech. Mango Mirror
At it’s basic function, Mango Mirror is just that, a mirror. One like you might find in your bathroom greeting you in the morning while you brush your teeth. Beneath the surface however, is a portal to yourself. Many of us already have health tracking devices on or around us daily. Our phones and wearable can track our steps and heart rate, Soon enough our phones will be our own walking medical history. The problem is many of us do not take thirty seconds of our day to review what we have been doing. How much we have exercised, what we have eaten, and how we have slept, are all very important resources. We can use this data to help us live longer, happier and healthier lives. Mango Mirror, at its start, aims to change this by integrating a display behind your daily mirror that can feed us this information. The company has designed the display to be non-distracting yet provide you with customizable data from widgets that will be referenced below. These widgets will be controlled via an application on your iPhone, where you will be able to adjust what information is displayed and for how long it will be displayed until it changes to the next screen.
Main Focus
Privacy
Mangos main focus is on health. Right along side health though is privacy. Mango plans to adapt the same fundamental rules on privacy as big companies like Apple. Your data will be completely encrypted and to company will not sell any ad tracking for your device or personal information.

The Future is Bright
I was able to ask Dave about what the future may bring to their product. He says that their are many avenue they could take to incorporate more data and information to their customers. Right now they are staying focused to the roll out set above but possibilities such as HomeKit integration as well as adopting other platforms are something they will explore once they make sure that the product is running smoothly. When speaking with Dave I got the sense that He and the Team have been working very hard to make sure the product takes off with out a hitch. Attention to detail is something that they really seem to have as well as an understanding of that their customers want. Listening to the consumer is a big part of what they will be trying to do. Thats great, the easiest way companies can know what their customers want is just by listening to what they have to say.
