Yes, you saw and read that correctly! Starting today customers who have purchased LIFX and LIFX + bulbs will have the ability to add the bulbs to their Apple ecosystem. As promised by LIFX the new integration is available to current customers via a firmware update.
The process works like this. Upon opening the LIFX application you will be prompted to do a firmware update for your bulbs. Once the firmware is updated you will be presented with another screen with two options for each light. The first is to get a unique HomeKit code and the second to pair the light with HomeKit. Once you have completed all steps the device will be added to your apple Home application. From here you can rename the light and/or location.
